It wasn’t technically Moving Day but there was plenty of movement on the leaderboard during the second round of the PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club. The tough conditions in the morning made for volatility up and down the leaderboard, which the afternoon wave used to its advantage. Here’s a closer look at some of the biggest movers on Day 2 of the PGA Championship.

JON RAHM
The current World No. 1, Rahm, carded six bogeys and a double en route to an unexpected opening round of 6-over-par 76 on Thursday. In order to make the cut, Rahm recovered with a 68 on Friday, including three consecutive birdies on his inward nine to play the weekend. Rahm made one of the biggest moves of the day as he climbed 66 spots on the leaderboard at Oak Hill and sits at 4 over par through 36 holes.
SHANE LOWRY
Following an opening round of three-over par, 73, Shane Lowry made one of the biggest moves of the day on Friday. Lowry jumped into a tie for 10th with a 67 on Day 2, which included five birdies in a six-hole stretch. Lowry jumped 46 spots on the leaderboard to sit at even par heading into the weekend.
BROOKS KOEPKA
Two-time PGA Champion Koepka is in the hunt for the second consecutive major championship. But Koepka didn’t look poised to make a run following a 2-over-par round of 72 on Thursday. The four-time major champion recovered on Friday, carding a 4-under-par 66 including three birdies in his final four holes to put himself in the mix through 36 holes. Koepka moved up 32 spots on the leaderboard to sit just three strokes back of the lead at 2 under par.
DUSTIN JOHNSON
Two-time major champion Johnson sat just one off the pace on Day 1 with an opening round of 3-under-par 67. But Johnson struggled on Day 2 with a 4-over-par 74 to tumble down the leaderboard. He dropped 17 spots and into a tie for 19th at 1 over through 36 holes.
PATRICK CANTLAY
After an opening round of 4-over 74, Cantlay bounced back on Friday with three birdies in his first five holes to card a 3-under-par 67 to jump up the leaderboard. Cantlay made one of the biggest moves of the day on Friday, climbing 54 spots to sit at 1 over par heading into the weekend at the PGA Championship.
ADAM SCOTT
Through Round 1, Scott sat just two strokes back of the lead following an opening round of 2-under-par 68. But on Friday the Aussie struggled to match the magic he found on Day 1 and carded a 4-over 74 which included a bogey, double bogey, bogey stretch that saw him drop 24 spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 30th at 2 over par.
TYRRELL HATTON
After an opening round of 7-over 77, Hatton bounced back with a second round of 2-under 68 to play his way into the weekend right on the cut line at 5 over par. Hatton jumped 74 spots on the leaderboard with his sub-par round on Friday.
