Several members of the Buffalo Bills football team took a close peek at this year’s PGA Championship Tuesday as they visited Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, only a 75-mile drive from Buffalo.
The Bills were represented by Kyle Allen, Matt Barkley, Tyler Bass, Kaiir Elam and two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Josh Allen, who was wearing a hat with the phrase “Have a Day.”

Oak Hill’s East Course underwent restoration, re-opening in 2020, overseen by Andrew Green in an attempt to return to a look inspired by the original design drawn up by golf course architect Donald Ross in 1926. The Bills’ players had a chance to see the renovations firsthand. Allen, who plans to be at Oak Hill for the entire week, will have a chance to play the course on Monday after the tournament wraps up.
In addition to touring the club, the players made an appearance at the PGA Works Beyond the Green event. Beyond the Green is a program designed to bring golf to children from historically underrepresented backgrounds. Allen received a rockstar introduction as he took his seat on stage before he and the rest of the players fielded questions from starstruck kids of the Boys and Girls Club and local schools.
Best surprise ever!! 🤗

Allen paired with Keith Mitchell earlier this year in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, then weeks later was spotted in Tiger Woods’ gallery at The Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club.
The Bills will be back in action on September 11 against the New York Jets, headlined by new quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a divisional matchup on Monday Night Football.
