Remarkably, Phil Mickelson has played in every PGA Championship since 1993. The 50-year-old, winner of the 2005 PGA Championship, has the outright lead by three strokes early in Round 3 at Kiawah Island. Mickelson has made 373 birdies and counting at the PGA Championship, more than any other player at the history of the Championship.
A win would make Mickelson the oldest major winner in history, supplanting Julius Boros who was 48 when he won the 1968 PGA Championship.
