36 holes are in the books at the 104th PGA Championship.
The cut fell at 4-over-par with the top 70s and ties finding the weekend.
Will Zalatoris holds the 36-hole lead after shooting a 5-under 65 on Friday. He tops Mito Pereira by one after Pereira fired a 6-under 64 in the second round.
Here are three things to know heading into the weekend in Tulsa.
PGA Champions Lurking
Justin Thomas shot a 3-under 67 on both Thursday and Friday and leads a solid group of past PGA Championship winners who found the weekend.
Thomas is just three shots back of Zalatoris’ lead.
Seven past PGA Champions made the cut, led by Thomas.
Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Brooks Koepka, Tiger Woods, Jason Day, and Collin Morikawa are the others adding two more rounds at Southern Hills.

“Probably one more good round. Maybe one deep round,” said Koepka when asked what it would take to stay in the championship.
If anyone could chase down a leader at the PGA Championships, it’s someone who already knows what it takes to lift the Wanamaker Trophy.
Notables Near the Top
If history is any indication, the winner of the 2022 PGA Championship is currently inside the top 10 heading into the weekend.
As golf statistician Justin Ray pointed out, 31 of the last 33 major winners – 2020 PGA Champion Collin Morikawa one of the exceptions – have been inside the top 10 through 36 holes.
While Will Zalatoris and Mito Pereira will be in the final pairing on Saturday, major winners like Bubba Watson, Stewart Cink, Gary Woodland, Justin Thomas, and Rory McIlroy are all in the chasing pack.
Watson equaled the PGA Championship scoring record with a 7-under 63 on Friday.
Tiger Woods Finds the Weekend
Four-time PGA Championship winner Tiger Woods made his way around Southern Hills on Friday to gut out a 1-under 69.
His 3-over total through 36 holes was enough to make the cut.
Woods birdied the par-5, 5th but made bogey on the par-3, 8th before making the turn. He added a birdie on No.10, but a double bogey on the par-3, 11th nearly de-railed his weekend plans.

But as is the case with Woods – repeatedly – he made birdies on No’s 13 and 16 to finish under par on his back nine.
